The Technique

BEESWAX and OIL on WOOD

The wooden boards are special productions and so constructed that the wax layer can accommodate accordingly.

With special preparation techniques, the area is kept very smooth.

The beeswax is heated to a certain temperature, it has to be applied very fast and very accurate on the wooden frame.

Subsequently, the cooled wax layer needs several operations to turn processed to a very smooth surface before the artists can start to paint.
